If you love to dance or would like to learn, you’ve come to the right place!
The Nashville Swing Dance Club is a dance organization that enjoys and promotes diversity in dance and music in Nashville ranging from swing to country to ballroom and latin dancing.
The NSDC meets once a week with emphasis on general dancing and professional dance instruction. The club plans special dance parties for it’s members and guests to enjoy.
Monday Night: The Nashville Swing Dance Club meets at the Brentwood Skate Center. Doors open at 7 pm with dance class from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Open dancing follows until 11:00 pm. Dance classes are taught in 4 week cycles (please check the calendar for the current class). At the end of a four class cycle a new dance will be taught. If you miss the first class or any class in the cycle don’t feel like you can not attend the next class. During each Monday night class you will revisit the steps taught in the previous classes. Dance Classes are taught in a group format. This means you will rotate dance partners periodically throughout the class. This technique helps you learn to lead and follow better as well as introducing you to the other people in the class. It also means you do not need to bring a dance partner. If you have a dance partner and do not want to switch partners that is allowed as well.
